Charles Daniels was accused of attempted robbery in Gulfport, Mississippi in 1983. The victim gave multiple different descriptions of her aggressor, none of which ever matched Daniels.
Charles Daniels had witnesses available to testify he was not in the state of Mississippi at the time of the event that were not used by his defense attorney. Years later, Daniels even obtained additional testimony showing his place of employment did not match the victim's claims, proving this to be a clear case of mistaken identity.
